If you're driving, start from any point on Mount Desert Island. The park entrance is easily accessible from Route 3. Follow Route 3 towards Bar Harbor and look for signs directing you to Acadia National Park. The main entrance is located at 20 Lurvey Lane, Bar Harbor, ME 04609. There is a parking fee of $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.

If you are using public transportation, check the local bus service known as the Island Explorer. This service operates during the summer months and provides free transportation to various locations around Mount Desert Island, including Acadia National Park. Board the bus from any of its stops on the island, and ensure you take the route that goes towards the park. The bus drops you off at various points within the park, making it easy to explore.
