Walking
From the center of Saco, head south on Main Street towards Beach Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Ocean Park Road. Turn right onto Ocean Park Road and walk for approximately 1 mile. You will reach the Biddeford Pool area. Look for the signs for Wood Island Lighthouse. Note that you may need to find a boat service that operates from Biddeford Pool to the lighthouse, as it is located on an island.
Biking
Start your bike ride from Saco by heading south on Main Street. Take a right onto Beach Street and continue for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Ocean Park Road and continue biking for about 1 mile until you reach Biddeford Pool. Look for local bike rental services or ask locals for the nearest boat service that can take you to Wood Island Lighthouse, as biking directly to the lighthouse is not possible.
Public Transit (Bus)
From Saco, take the local bus (check the Saco/Biddeford bus schedule for exact routes) heading towards Biddeford. Get off at the Biddeford Pool stop. From there, you may need to walk to a nearby dock to catch a boat to Wood Island Lighthouse. Make sure to ask the bus driver or locals for the best route to get to the dock.
