If you are starting from downtown South Portland, you can take the Metro bus Route 1 towards the Maine Mall. Ride for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection of Route 1 and Main Street in Brunswick. From there, transfer to the Brunswick Explorer bus service that goes towards Topsham. The bus will drop you off near the intersection of Route 24 and Route 201. From there, you can walk about 15 minutes to the Androscoggin Swinging Bridge. Head northwest on Route 201, then turn left onto Swinging Bridge Road. Follow the road until you reach the bridge.

Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, start at the South Portland Greenbelt Loop, which connects to various bike paths in the area. Head north on the Greenbelt, which will take you toward the Casco Bay Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, continue on Route 1 towards Brunswick. Once in Brunswick, follow the signs for Route 24, and then take a right on Swinging Bridge Road. The Androscoggin Swinging Bridge will be ahead.

If you're up for a scenic walk, start from the South Portland Waterfront Park. Walk north along the waterfront until you reach the Casco Bay Bridge.
