Car
From Sugarloaf Mountain, head south on Access Road toward Route 27. Turn left onto Route 27 and continue for about 2.5 miles. Look for the Carrabassett Valley sign, then take a left onto Carrabassett Road. Follow Carrabassett Road for approximately 1 mile until you reach the parking area for the Appalachian Trail. Park your car here as there is no direct vehicle access to the campground.

After parking, locate the Appalachian Trail entrance, which is well-marked. Follow the Appalachian Trail heading north for about 1.5 miles. The trail will lead you directly to the Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground. Be prepared for a moderately challenging hike with some elevation gain. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water.

If you are using public transportation, check for local bus services that operate between nearby towns and Carrabassett Valley. The nearest bus stop may be in Kingfield or Farmington. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the parking area on Carrabassett Road (approximately 10 miles).
