From any location in Washington County, take Route 1 (also known as the Coastal Route) towards Ellsworth. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with Route 186. Turn onto Route 186 and follow it for about 6 miles until you arrive in Winter Harbor. As you enter Winter Harbor, look for signs directing you to Schoodic Loop Road. Turn left onto Schoodic Loop Road, and you will reach the Winter Harbor Light within a couple of minutes. There is no entry fee for visiting the lighthouse.
