From the center of Mzuzu, head south on the main road, M1. Keep walking straight for about 4 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for the road leading to the beach. Look for signs indicating 'Chikale Beach' or 'Lake Malawi'. When you reach the junction, turn left onto the smaller road that leads towards the lake. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers along this road. You will eventually see signs for Chikale Beach. After reaching the entrance, you may need to walk a short distance to get to the beach itself.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Mzuzu. Start from the city center and head south on the main road, M1. Cycle straight for approximately 4 kilometers until you find the turn-off for Chikale Beach. Turn left onto the smaller road leading to the beach. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers, and look for signs indicating you are nearing Chikale Beach. Once you reach the entrance, park your bicycle and walk to the beach area.
