Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi. Take the M1 highway south towards Salima. After approximately 120 kilometers, you will see signs for Senga Bay. Turn off the M1 onto the road leading to Senga Bay. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the bay. There are several signs along the way, making it easy to navigate. Parking is available near the waterfront.
Public Transportation
To reach Senga Bay via public transportation, start at the Lilongwe bus station. Look for minibuses heading to Salima. The fare is around 1,000 MWK. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive at Salima, you can find a local minibus or taxi to Senga Bay, which is approximately 15 kilometers away. The fare for this leg is about 500 MWK. Make sure to confirm the final destination with the driver before boarding.
Taxi
For a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Lilongwe directly to Senga Bay. This will cost you around 30,000 MWK and take about 1.5 hours. Ensure to negotiate the price before starting your journey. The taxi will take you directly to the waterfront area of Senga Bay.
