Car
From Chinteche, head south on the M5 road. Drive for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Kawiya River. Look for the sign indicating Kawiya Bridge, as the river is right next to it. The drive should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
Catch a minibus heading towards Nkhotakota from Chinteche. The minibuses leave from the main bus station in Chinteche. After about 15 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the Kawiya Bridge stop. From there, it’s a short walk (about 1 kilometer) to the river, following the path that leads towards the water.
Walking
If you are already in Chinteche and prefer to walk, start at the center of Chinteche and head south towards the M5 road. Follow the road for about 10 kilometers until you reach Kawiya Bridge. This will take about 2 hours on foot, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
