From the main entrance of Dzalanyama Forest Reserve, head south on the main road towards Lilongwe. After approximately 25 kilometers, take a left turn onto the road leading to Lilongwe. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the Maula area of Lilongwe. Look for the coordinates 2QPF+XJ5 which will guide you to Phanga Swamps. Parking may be limited, so prepare to find a safe spot nearby.

To access Phanga Swamps from Dzalanyama Forest Reserve using public transport, take a minibus from the nearest town to the reserve towards Lilongwe. Ensure you inform the driver to drop you off near Maula. Once you arrive in Maula, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the coordinates 2QPF+XJ5 which will lead you to Phanga Swamps. Keep some cash handy for the taxi fare.
