Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car within Dzalanyama Forest Reserve, start from the main entrance of the reserve. Head south on the main dirt road. After approximately 8 kilometers, you will come to a fork. Take the right fork, which is marked with a sign for Ngwenya Hill. Continue for another 3 kilometers until you reach a small parking area at the base of the hill. From there, you can begin your hike up Ngwenya Hill.

Public Transportation
To reach Ngwenya Hill using public transportation, take a minibus from Lilongwe to the Dzalanyama Forest Reserve. The minibus will drop you off at the main entrance of the reserve. From there, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a guide who can take you to the base of Ngwenya Hill. Expect to pay around MWK 5,000-10,000 for the taxi ride, depending on negotiation.
