If you are starting from the Mangochi Bus Station, exit the station and head south towards the main road (M5). Turn left onto the M5 road and continue walking for about 500 meters. You will pass by several local shops and vendors. Continue straight until you reach a junction. At the junction, turn right onto a smaller road. Follow this road for approximately 200 meters until you see the Mangochi War Memorial Tower on your left. It's a prominent structure, so you should be able to see it from a distance.
