Public Transport - Minibus
To reach Independence Arch using public transport, take a minibus from Mulanje town heading to Blantyre. The journey typically takes about 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Blantyre bus station, you can either walk or take another minibus to Livingstone Avenue. If walking, head northeast on Victoria Avenue, then turn left onto Livingstone Avenue. Independence Arch is located at 52WV+69V, Livingstone Ave. Expect to pay around 500 MKW for the minibus fare.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Mulanje to Independence Arch. The journey will take around 1-1.5 hours. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be approximately 10,000-15,000 MKW, depending on your negotiation skills.
