Car
If you are driving from Mulanje Massif, head northwest on the M1 road towards Blantyre. Continue on this road for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Blantyre. Take the exit toward Kaohsiung Road and follow the signs to the Old Manager’s House National Monument. La Caverna is located at the top of Kaohsiung Road. The parking facilities are available near the entrance.
Public Transport
To reach La Caverna using public transport, start by taking a minibus from Mulanje to Blantyre. These minibuses leave from the main bus station in Mulanje regularly and the journey should take about an hour. Once you arrive in Blantyre, get off at the main bus terminal and look for a minibus heading to Mandala or directly to Kaohsiung Road. Inform the driver of your destination, Old Manager’s House National Monument. The fare should be around 500 MWK. After disembarking, La Caverna is a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of La Caverna, you can walk to the location. From the nearest bus stop on Kaohsiung Road, walk uphill towards the Old Manager’s House. La Caverna is situated slightly further up the road. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes.
