Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Mulanje town and head south on the M1 highway. After approximately 10 km, take the exit onto the road leading to Mulanje Mountain. Follow the signs towards the Mulanje Mountain Conservation Area. The road will take you through beautiful landscapes. Once you reach the entrance of the conservation area, there may be a small entrance fee (around MK 1000 or about $1.50 USD). Continue on the main road until you reach the parking area for the trekking trails. From here, you can start your hike towards Maciço de Mulanje.

    From Mulanje town, you can catch a minibus heading to the Mulanje Mountain area. Look for a minibus labeled 'Mulanje Mountain' at the local bus station.
