Car
From Mulanje Massif, head southwest on the M1 road towards Blantyre. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit for the M5 road towards Chikwawa. Continue on the M5 for around 25 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Majete Wildlife Reserve. Follow the signs, turning onto a gravel road that leads directly into the reserve. The drive may take about 1 hour depending on road conditions. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for gravel roads.

From Mulanje, take a minibus heading to Blantyre from the bus station. Tell the driver you're going to Chikwawa. After about 30 minutes, get off at the junction for the M5 road. You'll need to wait for a passing minibus or a taxi that goes directly to Majete Wildlife Reserve. The fare for the minibus is around MK 1,500 (Malawian Kwacha), and the subsequent ride to the reserve will vary, typically around MK 1,000 to MK 2,000. The total travel time can take 2 to 3 hours depending on waiting times.
