Car
If you are driving from Mulanje Town, take the M1 highway heading south. After approximately 25 kilometers, turn left onto the road leading to Liwonde National Park. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Liwonde National Park. Mvuu Camp is located within the park and can be reached by following the signs. Please note that there is an entrance fee to the park, which typically costs around MWK 20,000 per person.
Public Transportation
From Mulanje Town, you can take a minibus heading towards Liwonde. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of Liwonde National Park. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions and stops. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can either walk to Mvuu Camp (about a 30-minute walk) or arrange for a taxi from the entrance to the camp for about MWK 5,000.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the park entrance to Mvuu Camp, follow the main road within the park. There will be signposts directing you to Mvuu Camp. The walking path is well-marked and offers a chance to see local wildlife. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the walk can take around 30 minutes.
