Getting There

    From Mulanje Massif, head north on the M1 road towards the town of Chitipa. After approximately 60 km, take the exit towards the M6 road, which leads to Nyika National Park. Follow the M6 for about 30 km until you reach the entrance of Nyika National Park. There is an entrance fee, typically around $10 USD per person, so ensure you have cash ready.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a minibus from Mulanje to Chitipa. Buses leave regularly from the Mulanje bus station. The journey to Chitipa may take around 2 hours. Once in Chitipa, take another minibus heading towards Nyika National Park. Confirm with the driver that they are going to Nyika; the fare should be around $5 USD. The National Park entrance fee will also be required upon arrival.

    If you are adventurous and enjoy hiking, from the Nyika National Park entrance, you can trek to various viewpoints on the plateau.
