From Mulanje Mountain, take the main road (M1) heading west towards Blantyre. After about 30 km, you will reach the junction for the Chongoni Rock Art Area. Turn left onto the dirt road that leads into the area. Follow the road for approximately 5 km until you see signs for the Chongoni Rock Art Area. Parking is available at the entrance.

Public Transportation
From Mulanje Mountain, catch a minibus heading towards Blantyre from the local minibus station. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Chongoni junction. The fare is typically around MK500 to MK1000. Once you reach the junction, you can either walk (about 5 km) or hire a local taxi to take you to the Chongoni Rock Art Area for approximately MK2000 to MK3000.

If you prefer to walk from the Chongoni junction, head along the dirt road leading into the Chongoni Rock Art Area. The walk is about 5 km and will take approximately an hour. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the road can be uneven and hot during the day.
