Car
From Phalombe Plains, head southeast on the main road (A16) towards Mulanje town. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction at Mulanje. Turn left onto the B4 road, which leads you toward Mulanje Mountain. Follow the B4 road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the base of Mulanje Mountain. Look for signs indicating 'Trek Mulanje' or 'Mulanje Mountain'. The area is well-marked, and you'll see parking areas available where you can leave your vehicle.

Public Transportation
To reach Trek Mulanje via public transport, start by taking a minibus from Phalombe to Mulanje town. The minibuses leave from various points in Phalombe, and the fare is usually around 500 MWK. Once you arrive in Mulanje town, you can take another minibus heading to the foot of Mulanje Mountain. This second leg will cost you about 300 MWK. Ask the driver to let you off at the trailhead for Trek Mulanje. The trailhead is well-signposted, and from there you can begin your hike.
