Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Phalombe Plains, head southeast on the main road towards Zomba. Continue on the M1 road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the M842 road. Take the M842 and follow the signs towards Williams Falls. The falls are located just off this road, and you should see signs directing you to the parking area. Be aware of any tolls or fees that may apply along your route.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Williams Falls via public transportation, start by taking a minibus from the Phalombe bus station heading to Zomba. The fare should be around 500 MWK. Once you arrive in Zomba, you'll need to take another minibus heading towards the M842 road. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Williams Falls. From there, you may need to walk about 1-2 kilometers to reach the falls. Be prepared for a small walking distance, and check for any local transport options that may take you closer to the falls.

• Walking

  If you are already close to the M842 road and prefer walking, you can navigate towards Williams Falls by heading south on the M842. The falls are approximately 1-2 kilometers from the nearest bus stop. The walk offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape, but ensure you wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, especially in the warmer months.
