If you are driving from Zomba Plateau, start by heading towards the main road (M3) that connects Zomba to Blantyre. Follow M3 for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach Blantyre, keep an eye out for the signs to Livingstone Avenue. Turn onto Livingstone Avenue and continue driving until you reach the coordinates 52WV+69V. There should be parking available nearby. The journey may take around 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic.

To reach Independence Arch using public transport, take a minibus from Zomba to Blantyre, which can be found at the main bus station in Zomba. The fare is usually around 500 MWK. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at the Blantyre bus station, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Livingstone Avenue. If you choose to walk, head towards Livingstone Avenue, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. Taxis are also available from the bus station, and the fare should be around 1,000 MWK.
