Turn left onto the road leading to the plateau. Follow this road for approximately 10 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signs indicating Mulumbe Peak. The last section of the road may be unpaved, so drive carefully. Park your car in the designated parking area at the base of the trail to Mulumbe Peak.

To reach Mulumbe Peak via public transportation, take a minibus from Zomba town to the Zomba Plateau. The minibuses leave from the main bus station in Zomba.
