Car

From Zomba Plateau, head southwest on the M3 road towards Bangula. Follow the M3 for approximately 60 kilometers. You will pass through the towns of Zomba and then continue towards the Majete Wildlife Reserve. Look for signs indicating the reserve entrance, which is situated near Majete. Once you reach the entrance, you may need to pay an entrance fee, typically around 10,000 MWK (Malawi Kwacha) per person. After entering, follow the park roads to reach the various viewpoints and trails within Majete.

Public Transportation

From Zomba Plateau, you can take a minibus to Blantyre from the Zomba bus station. The fare is usually around 1,500 MWK. Once in Blantyre, transfer to a minibus heading to Majete. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the Majete Wildlife Reserve entrance. The fare for this leg of the trip is about 1,000 MWK. At the entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee, typically around 10,000 MWK per person, to access the park.

Taxi

For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Zomba Plateau to Majete. This is the most expensive option, with fares typically ranging from 15,000 to 25,000 MWK depending on negotiations. The taxi will take you directly to the Majete Wildlife Reserve entrance. Remember to confirm the fare before starting your journey and also be prepared to pay the entrance fee of about 10,000 MWK per person at the reserve.
