Car
From Zomba, head north on the M3 highway towards the Zomba Plateau. After approximately 24 kilometers, turn left onto the road leading to Chavara (you can ask locals for directions). Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach the Mkulumadzi Lodge entrance. Look for the lodge signs along the way.
Public Transport
Take a minibus from Zomba to Chavara. These minibuses usually depart from the main minibus station in Zomba. The fare is around 500 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). Upon arrival in Chavara, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to Mkulumadzi Lodge, which is approximately 5 kilometers away. Confirm the taxi fare before starting your journey.
