Car
If you have a car, start from Zomba town and head southeast on the M3 road. Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the turnoff for the Liwonde National Park. Follow the signs to Liwonde, and as you approach the park, look for signs indicating the direction to Mvuu Camp. The camp is located within Liwonde National Park, near the banks of the Shire River. Ensure you have your vehicle registration and pay the entrance fee for the park, which is around MK 5,000 for locals and MK 10,000 for foreign visitors.
Public Transportation
To reach Mvuu Camp using public transportation, take a minibus from Zomba to Liwonde. The minibuses leave from the main bus station in Zomba and the fare is approximately MK 1,500. Once you arrive in Liwonde, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'phiri') to take you to Mvuu Camp. The motorcycle taxi ride should cost around MK 2,000 to MK 3,000. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand. Keep in mind that the camp is located inside Liwonde National Park, so you may need to pay the park entrance fee as mentioned before.
