Car
If you're driving, head towards Mulunguzi Dam from the main area of Zomba. Begin on the main road (M1) heading southeast out of Zomba. Approximately 10 km down the road, you'll see signs for Mulunguzi Dam. Turn left onto the road leading to the dam. The drive will take around 20 minutes, and parking is available near the dam.
Public Transportation
To reach Mulunguzi Dam via public transport, take a minibus from Zomba's main bus station heading towards Mulanje. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Mulunguzi Dam. The ride will cost approximately 500 MWK and take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the dam, it is a short walk to the entrance.
Walking
If you're already close to Mulunguzi Dam and prefer to walk, follow the signs from the nearest bus stop. The dam is about 2 km from the main road, so plan for a 30-40 minute walk. Head down the dirt path toward the dam, enjoying the scenic views of the plateau along the way.
