Getting There

  • Walking

    From Zomba Central Market, head south on Market Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Zomba-Lilongwe Road. Turn left and walk along the road. After about 500 meters, look for signs directing you towards Chikanda. Follow the signs for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the Chikanda area.

    If you're starting from the Zomba Botanical Gardens, exit the gardens and head west towards the main road. Turn right on the main road and walk straight until you reach a T-junction. At the junction, turn left onto Zomba-Lilongwe Road and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you see signs for Chikanda. Follow the road into the Chikanda area.

    From the Zomba University, exit the campus and turn right onto the university road. Walk straight until you reach Zomba-Lilongwe Road. Turn left and walk for about 1 kilometer. Keep an eye out for signage that indicates the direction to Chikanda, then follow the signs to arrive at KD Hostels.

    If you are near the Zomba Police Station, head east on the road in front of the station. Continue straight until you reach the T-junction with Zomba-Lilongwe Road. Turn right and walk for about 2 kilometers. Look for signs leading you to Chikanda, where you will find KD Hostels.
