Walking
Start from the Zomba Central Market. Head south on the main road, Zomba Street, which becomes the M1 highway. Continue walking for approximately 3.5 km until you reach the junction at Chinamwali. At this junction, take a left turn onto the road marked towards Mulunguzi. Follow this road for about 2 km, passing by the Mulunguzi River on your right. You will see a signpost indicating Mbale Estate. Continue straight for another 1.5 km until you see the entrance to Mbale Estate on your left.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near Zomba Central Market. Start your journey heading south on Zomba Street, which merges into the M1 highway. Cycle for about 3.5 km until you reach the Chinamwali junction. Turn left onto the road towards Mulunguzi and continue cycling for approximately 2 km. Keep an eye out for the signpost for Mbale Estate. Continue straight for another 1.5 km and you will find the entrance to Mbale Estate on your left.
Public Transport (Minibus)
From Zomba Central, take a minibus heading towards Mulunguzi. Board the minibus and inform the driver that you are going to Mbale Estate. The journey will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Mulunguzi area, get off when you see the sign for Mbale Estate. Walk back a short distance (around 500 meters) to the entrance of Mbale Estate.
