Walking
Start at the Zomba Central Market. Exit the market and head east on Zomba Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with M1 Road. At the junction, turn left onto M1 Road and walk for another 2 kilometers. You will pass by the Zomba Botanical Gardens on your left. Keep an eye out for the sign for Mulunguzi Dam park. After about 2 kilometers on M1 Road, turn right onto the road marked 'Mulunguzi Dam' and follow the road uphill for about 1 kilometer. You will arrive at the entrance to Mulunguzi Dam park.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Zomba. Start at the Zomba Central Market. Cycle east on Zomba Street for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with M1 Road. Turn left onto M1 Road and continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. You will see the Zomba Botanical Gardens on your left as you ride. Watch for the sign for Mulunguzi Dam park. After around 2 kilometers, turn right onto 'Mulunguzi Dam' road and cycle uphill for about 1 kilometer until you reach the park entrance.
Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)
From your location in Zomba, find a Boda Boda driver at a nearby stand or flag one down. Inform the driver you want to go to Mulunguzi Dam park. The driver will likely take you via Zomba Street, then onto M1 Road. The journey should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you at the entrance of the park.
