If you are traveling by car, drive from Kota Kinabalu to Ranau via the A1 highway. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. Once you reach Ranau, follow the signage to Kundasang, which is about 10 kilometers from Ranau. Upon reaching Kundasang, look for the Mount Kinabalu Park entrance; this is where you will check in for your Via Ferrata experience. Note that parking is available at the park entrance, but be prepared for a parking fee of approximately RM5.

To reach Mountain Kinabalu Via Ferrata using public transportation, head to the Bus Terminal in Kota Kinabalu. Look for buses heading to Ranau, which are frequent throughout the day. The bus ride will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive at the Ranau Bus Terminal, you may need to take a taxi or ride-sharing service to Kundasang, which is around 10 kilometers away. Expect to pay around RM30 for a taxi to the Mount Kinabalu Park entrance.
