If you are in the city center of Kuala Terengganu, start at the iconic Pasar Payang (Central Market). From there, head east on Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin. Continue walking straight for approximately 1 km until you reach Dataran Shahbandar, which will be on your right. You will see a large open space with gardens and views of the Terengganu River.

Take a local bus from any bus stop in Kuala Terengganu that heads towards Dataran Syah. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at Dataran Shahbandar or the nearest stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 200 meters east along Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin, and you will reach Dataran Shahbandar.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from any local rental shop in the city. Start at the Kuala Terengganu Waterfront, and follow the road along the river. Head towards Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin and continue riding for about 1.5 km until you reach Dataran Shahbandar. There are bike lanes available for safer cycling.
