Car
If you are driving from Kuantan, head northwest on the East Coast Expressway (E8). After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward Jerantut. Follow the signs to Jerantut and then continue on Route 68 towards Taman Negara. Keep an eye out for signs to Bumbun Tabing as you approach the entrance of Taman Negara. The total drive is about 90 km and should take around 1.5 hours. Ensure you have a GPS or a map app to help navigate the local roads once you are near Taman Negara.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Kuantan, you can take a bus to Jerantut. Buses leave regularly from the Kuantan Bus Terminal. The journey will take approximately 2 hours, and tickets typically cost around MYR 20. Once you arrive in Jerantut, you will need to take a taxi or a local minivan to Taman Negara. The taxi fare to Taman Negara is around MYR 50-70. Make sure to negotiate the fare before getting in.
Taxi from Jerantut
If you prefer a more direct route from Jerantut, you can hire a taxi directly to Bumbun Tabing. This option is more comfortable, especially if you are traveling with luggage or in a group. The fare from Jerantut to Bumbun Tabing should be around MYR 50-70. Confirm the fare with the driver before you depart. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes.
