Car to Kuala Besut Jetty
If you are traveling by car, drive to Kuala Besut Jetty. This is the main departure point for ferries to the Perhentian Islands. The jetty is located on the east coast of Malaysia, and you can find it by following signs to Kuala Besut from the nearest major city, Kota Bharu. The journey takes about 1 hour from Kota Bharu. Parking is available at the jetty, but ensure you confirm the parking fees, which usually range from RM 10 to RM 20 per day.

Ferry to Redang Island
Upon arriving at Kuala Besut Jetty, purchase your ferry tickets to Redang Island. The ferry ride to Redang takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. There are several ferry operators; be sure to check the schedules in advance especially during peak seasons. The cost for a one-way ticket usually ranges from RM 55 to RM 70. Once you arrive at Redang Island, you will want to inform the ferry staff that your destination is Long Beach, as they will take you directly to the beach area.

Walking to Redang Long Beach
Once you disembark from the ferry at Redang Island, you will be at the main jetty. To reach Redang Long Beach, simply follow the path leading away from the jetty towards the beach area. It is a short walk of about 5 to 10 minutes. As you walk, you will enjoy beautiful views and local flora. Upon reaching Long Beach, you will find it is known for its stunning white sands and crystal-clear waters.
