Walking
If you're in the Sandakan city center, start at the Sandakan Central Market. From there, head south along Jalan Leila for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with Jalan Sim Sim. Take a left onto Jalan Sim Sim and continue for another 5 minutes. You will see the Sandakan Waterfront on your right at Kampung Berhala Darat, No Rumah 90. The area is well-marked with signs, so keep an eye out.
Public Transport (Bus or Van)
From the Sandakan Central Bus Station, take a local bus or van heading towards Kampung Sim Sim. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Kampung Berhala Darat. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, walk towards Jalan Sim Sim, and you should see the Sandakan Waterfront at No Rumah 90 just a short distance ahead.
Bicycle Rental
If you're up for some exercise, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops near the Sandakan Central Market. Head south down Jalan Leila, then turn left onto Jalan Sim Sim. The ride should take around 15 minutes. Keep an eye out for the signs to the Sandakan Waterfront at Kampung Berhala Darat, No Rumah 90.
