Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Sandakan Central Market, head south towards Jalan Lintas. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Jalan Utara. Turn left onto Jalan Utara and walk for approximately 300 meters. You will see the Sandakan Waterfront ahead on your right, near the waterfront area.

    Starting from the Sandakan Heritage Museum, exit the museum and head east on Jalan Pahlawan. After about 400 meters, turn left onto Jalan Utara. Continue walking for about 600 meters until you reach the waterfront area. Sandakan Waterfront will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you are at the Sandakan Airport, you can take a taxi to the city center, which will cost around 30 MYR. Once in the city center, head to the Sandakan Central Market and follow the walking directions provided above to reach Sandakan Waterfront.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Sandakan Bus Terminal, take a local bus heading towards Pusat Bandar Sandakan. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the bus stop nearest to the Central Market. From there, follow the walking directions to Sandakan Waterfront as described above.
