The Tahan Hide is accessible via a hiking trail that starts near the visitor center. The trail to Tahan Hide is approximately 6 km long and will take around 2 to 3 hours to hike, depending on your pace. Make sure to carry sufficient water and snacks for the journey.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Jerantut Bus Station (approximately RM 35-50 for a one-way ticket). Once you arrive at Jerantut, transfer to a local bus or taxi to reach Kuala Tahan (costs around RM 30-50). Upon reaching Kuala Tahan, walk to the Taman Negara visitor center, which is about a 10-minute walk from your drop-off point. After purchasing your entry ticket (around RM 1 for Malaysians and RM 5 for foreigners), follow the hiking trail that leads to Tahan Hide, which is about 6 km away from the visitor center. Prepare for a 2 to 3-hour hike to reach the hide.
