Car
From Kuala Lumpur, take the North-South Expressway (E1) heading south. Continue on the expressway for about 350 km until you reach the exit for Senai (Exit 253). Merge onto the Senai-Desaru Expressway (E22) and follow the signs for Desaru. After about 30 km, take the exit towards Bandar Penawar. Continue straight on Jalan Desaru until you reach KM16, J173. Pantai Tanjung Balau will be on your right. There is no toll fee after the Senai-Desaru Expressway exit.

If you are traveling from Kuala Lumpur, take a bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) to Johor Bahru. The bus fare is approximately RM 30-50. Upon arrival at Larkin Terminal in Johor Bahru, transfer to a local bus or taxi to Bandar Penawar. Local bus services such as Bus No. 1 or 2 will take you to Bandar Penawar, costing around RM 5. Once in Bandar Penawar, you can take a taxi or ride-sharing service to Pantai Tanjung Balau, which is about 20 minutes away and should cost around RM 15-25.
