• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards the Malé International Airport (Velana International Airport). From there, you won't be able to drive directly to Vilamendhoo Island, as it is located in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Instead, you will need to park your car at the airport's parking facilities. Ensure you check for any parking fees which may apply.

• Public Transportation to Malé

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus or taxi to Malé city from your location in Malé Atoll. The city is well-connected and you can find buses that run frequently from various points. The taxi fare may vary depending on your starting point, so confirm the fare before the ride.

• Speedboat Transfer

  Once in Malé, you will need to take a speedboat to Vilamendhoo Island. Head to the Villingili Ferry Terminal, which is accessible via a short taxi ride from the main bus station or your hotel in Malé. Speedboat transfers to Vilamendhoo Island are typically arranged by the resort. It is recommended to contact Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa in advance to schedule your transfer. The speedboat ride takes approximately 25-30 minutes, and the cost is usually included in your resort booking, but confirm with the resort for any applicable fees.

• Seaplane Transfer

  Alternatively, you can opt for a seaplane transfer from Malé International Airport directly to Vilamendhoo Island. This option provides stunning aerial views of the atolls. After arriving at the airport and completing your check-in, look for the seaplane counter where you can book your flight. Flight times may vary, but the journey takes about 30 minutes. Seaplane transfers are often more expensive than speedboat transfers, ranging from $200-$400 per person, so check with the resort for precise pricing and availability.
