Mathikilhi Eco Garden, located in Meedhoo, Addu City, is the first of its kind in the Maldives, offering a unique ecological experience. This 50-hectare wetland garden showcases the region's biodiversity with diverse native plants and trees thriving in the unique Maldivian climate. The largest lake, 'Fenfila koaru', sits at the heart of the garden. Originally abundant with freshwater lakes, much of the area transitioned into wetlands around 20 years ago. Revenue generated from the Eco Garden will be directed to the Addu Conservation Trust Fund.
