Shangri-La's Villingili Resort & Spa, located on Villingili Island in Addu Atoll, is a luxurious escape offering a unique experience in the Maldives. As the first luxury resort south of the equator in the Maldives, it provides a stylish and spacious environment surrounded by over six kilometers of coastline and nearly two kilometers of white sandy beaches. The resort boasts 132 villas in various styles, including overwater villas, tropical tree houses, pool villas, and beachside residences. Each villa features luxurious amenities and expansive layouts with spacious sundecks and lounge areas. Guests can explore the island's natural beauty, which includes more than 17,000 coconut trees, three natural lagoons, and nature trails. Villingili Island also has the distinction of having the highest natural elevation in the Maldives, known as Mount Villingili, which stands at 5.1 meters above sea level and is located on the island's golf course. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities, including snorkeling, diving, and water sports. The island is surrounded by a striking coral reef and vibrant marine life. Divers can explore over 25 dive sites teeming with marine life, including the dramatic 140-meter shipwreck of the British ship Loyalty.
