Getting There

  • Seaplane

    The most common and scenic way to reach Veligandu is by seaplane from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. After arriving at the airport and clearing customs, proceed to the seaplane transfer counter, where a representative will arrange your transfer. The seaplane journey takes approximately 20 minutes, offering stunning aerial views of the Maldivian atolls. Seaplane transfers operate during daylight hours, typically from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A round trip will cost approximately $390 USD per adult. Luggage is limited to 20 kg per person, with extra charges for additional weight.

  • Speedboat

    An alternative to seaplane transfer is by speedboat. Upon arrival at Velana International Airport (MLE), head to the Crown & Champa Resorts “CCR” Booth #B9 where the airport team will assist. Scheduled speedboat transfers are available, but are not as commonly used due to the distance. Private speedboat transfers can also be arranged for a more personalized experience. The speedboat ride takes approximately 1.5 hours. A one way trip will cost between $50-$70 USD. Please note that schedules may be subject to change due to weather conditions.
