Getting There

  • Seaplane

    The most common and scenic way to reach Veligandu Island (and thus, access to Veligandu Falhu) is via seaplane from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. After clearing customs, head to the Crown & Champa Resorts (CCR) Booth #B9, where the airport team will assist with check-in and a 10-minute shuttle to the Seaplane Terminal. Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) operates the 20-minute seaplane transfer to Veligandu. Seaplanes operate between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM; the last flight to Veligandu is at 4:00 PM. A roundtrip seaplane transfer costs approximately US$390 for adults and US$195 for children. Be sure to provide your flight details to the resort at least 72 hours in advance to book your seat.

  • Speedboat

    Alternatively, speedboat transfers are available from Velana International Airport (MLE), taking approximately 60 minutes. After clearing customs, go to the Crown & Champa Resorts “CCR” Booth #B9 for assistance. Veligandu offers scheduled speedboat transfers twice daily: from the airport to Veligandu at 10:30 AM and 4:45 PM, and from Veligandu to the airport at 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM. A scheduled speedboat transfer costs approximately US$310 per person for adults and US$155 per child. Private speedboat transfers are also available.

Veligandu Falhu, also known as Veligandu East, is a stunning reef system in the North Ari Atoll (Alifu Alifu Atoll) of the Maldives.
