    From Mdina Gate (the main entrance), walk straight along Triq Villegaignon, the main road, for about 5 minutes. Pass shops and cafes. At the intersection with Triq San Pawl, turn right. Tales of The Silent City will be on your left, just before the next intersection.

  • Public Transport

    From Valletta, take bus routes 50, 51, 52, 53, or 56 to Rabat. Get off at the Rabat bus terminus, about a 5-minute walk from Mdina Gate. Walk through Mdina Gate and follow the walking directions. A single bus ticket costs €2.60.

  • Taxi

    A taxi from Valletta to Mdina costs approximately €30-€40 and takes about 30 minutes. From the taxi drop-off point outside Mdina Gate, walk through the gate and follow the walking directions.

  • Parking

    Parking is available outside Mdina's city walls. There are four car parks just outside the City Walls of Mdina. There is a small car park beside the playground area just outside the Mdina gate. Parking is limited on busy days. There is a larger car park 200 meters away from Mdina Gate, just beside the Rabat bus terminus. The ditch just under the Fortifications of Mdina there are parking places. You will need to pass through a narrow tunnel to get there. Parking is typically free, though a small donation may be requested.
