    The Mdina Cathedral Museum is located in Archbishop's Square, in the heart of Mdina. From Mdina Gate, the city's main entrance, walk straight ahead along Triq Villegaignon. After approximately 200 meters, turn right onto Triq San Pawl. The museum will be on your right, next to St. Paul's Cathedral. There are no specific costs associated with walking to the museum.

    The Mdina Cathedral Museum is easily accessible by public transport. Several bus routes connect Valletta and other major towns to Rabat, which is located just outside Mdina's city walls. From the Rabat bus terminus, it's a short, 5-minute walk to Mdina Gate. Bus routes that stop near Mdina include 50, 51, 52, 53, 56, 109, 181, 182, 186, 201, 202 and X3. A single journey bus ticket costs €2.50 during the summer (June 14 to October 18, 2025) and is valid for 2 hours, allowing for transfers. Alternatively, you can purchase a 7-day Explore Adult card for €25, which offers unlimited travel on all public transport services.

    Taxis can drop you off outside Mdina's main gate or Greek's Gate. From Valletta, a one-way taxi fare to Mdina typically ranges from €30 to €40. Several taxi companies operate in Malta, including white taxis that can be hailed or booked from taxi stands, as well as private companies like eCabs or Bolt. Keep in mind that taxis are not allowed to park inside Mdina.
