If you're in Gzira, start by heading towards the seafront promenade. Walk along the promenade towards Sliema. You'll enjoy beautiful views of the harbor. Continue straight until you reach the end of the promenade, where it meets the main road. Cross the road and take the bus towards Valletta. Get off at the 'Valletta' bus terminus. From there, walk through the city gates and continue straight until you reach St Mark Street. The Fortifications Interpretation Centre will be on your right.
