If you are already in Marsamxett Harbour, the easiest way to reach Ponsonby's Column is to walk. Start from the waterfront promenade and head towards the city of Valletta. Follow the signs leading to Valletta. As you approach the entrance to Valletta, you will find yourself at City Gate. Continue walking straight ahead, passing through Republic Street. After approximately 15-20 minutes of walking, you will reach the Upper Barracca Gardens. From there, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities. Ponsonby's Column is a short walk from the gardens; simply exit the gardens, turn left, and walk along the edge of the Upper Barracca until you see the column ahead. It should take around 5 minutes.
