Getting There

Walking
Start at the Gzira waterfront area. Head towards the Strand, which is the main road along the coast. Walk along the waterfront promenade towards Sliema. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the end of the promenade at the Tigne Point area. From here, cross the road towards the ferry terminal. Continue walking straight towards the Ferries Terminal in Sliema. Once at the terminal, you will see signs for Valletta. Take the ferry to Valletta, which is a short ride of about 10 minutes. Once you arrive in Valletta, exit the ferry terminal and walk straight onto the main street, Republic Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the Upper Barracca Gardens. From there, head towards the lift that takes you down to the Valletta Waterfront. After exiting the lift, walk towards the direction of the Grand Harbour. You will see Ponsonby's Column nearby, located at VGX5+H33, Valletta.

From Gzira, walk to the nearest bus stop on the main road, the Strand. Take bus number 13 or 14 towards Valletta. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Valletta bus terminus, exit the bus and head towards the main entrance of Valletta. Walk through the city gates and continue straight onto Republic Street. Follow Republic Street until you reach the Upper Barracca Gardens. After enjoying the views, make your way towards the lift down to the Valletta Waterfront.
