Getting There

• Bus

  From Mellieha, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the main road (Triq Il-Mithna). Take bus route 41 or 42 towards Victoria. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Għarb. Once you arrive at Għarb, exit the bus and walk towards Ta' Pinu Road. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu is a short 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards the shrine, and you will find it at the end of Ta' Pinu Road.

• Walking

  If you're staying in Mellieha and prefer walking, start from the center of Mellieha village. Head southwest towards Triq Il-Mithna and take a left. Walk along this road until you reach the main intersection. Continue straight on Triq Il-Mithna until you reach the bus stop. From there, you can take the bus as described above. Alternatively, you can walk straight to Għarb, which is approximately 5 kilometers away, but be prepared for a longer trek through the countryside.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Mellieha to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu. You can book a taxi via a local taxi service or use a ride-hailing app if available. The driver will take you directly to the shrine, and the journey should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
