Car
From Assateague Island National Seashore, start at the park entrance and head north on MD-611. Continue straight for approximately 7 miles until you reach the intersection with Coastal Hwy (US-50). Turn left onto Coastal Hwy (US-50) and follow it for about 3 miles until you see signs for Ocean City. Continue on Coastal Hwy, which will become Philadelphia Ave, and then turn right onto 7th St. Follow 7th St until you reach N Atlantic Ave. Turn left onto N Atlantic Ave, and you will find the Ocean City Boardwalk at 698 N Atlantic Ave. There is street parking available, but be mindful of parking restrictions. Metered parking is typically in effect during peak season, which may incur additional costs.

Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, start from the Assateague Island National Seashore Visitor Center. You can catch the Ocean City Shuttle bus service. Look for the bus stop near the visitor center and board the 'Coastal Highway' route. The fare is typically around $3 for a one-way trip. The shuttle will take you directly to Ocean City. Once you arrive, disembark at the stop closest to 9th St and Coastal Hwy, then walk east towards the boardwalk. Continue walking until you reach N Atlantic Ave, where the boardwalk begins at 698 N Atlantic Ave. Keep in mind that shuttle schedules may vary, especially during off-peak seasons, so check the latest schedule before your trip.
