Hi, I'm Eve. Here are a few practical things to know before exploring The submarine.
Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
If you are at the Inner Harbor area, start at the National Aquarium, which is a prominent landmark. From there, head southeast along the waterfront promenade. Enjoy the scenic views as you walk past the shops and restaurants lining the harbor. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes until you see the USS Constellation, a historic ship. The submarine is located adjacent to it, with signage directing you to the entrance.
Public Transit (Light Rail)
For those starting further from Inner Harbor, you can take the Light RailLink. Board the Light Rail at any nearby station and ride towards the 'Camden Yards' stop. From Camden Yards, exit and walk approximately 15 minutes east towards the Inner Harbor area. As you walk, you will pass by the Baltimore Sports and Social Club and various restaurants. Continue towards the waterfront, where you will find the submarine near the USS Constellation.
Water Taxi
You can also take a water taxi if you're in the vicinity of the harbor. Look for the water taxi docks, which are typically located near major attractions like the Aquarium or the Maryland Science Center. Purchase a ticket from the dock attendant or via the water taxi app. Board the taxi that goes towards the USS Constellation stop. Once you disembark, the submarine will be just a short walk away, clearly visible from the dock.
Use Tower Bridge as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
