From Cunningham Falls State Park, head southwest on Catoctin Hollow Road. Continue for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with US-15. Turn left onto US-15 South and continue for approximately 6 miles. Take the exit toward Thurmont. Merge onto MD-550 E and follow this road for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Frederick Rd (MD-550) and continue for about 0.5 miles. Thurmont Community Park will be on your left at 19 Frederick Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788.

While there are no direct public transportation options from Cunningham Falls State Park to Thurmont Community Park, you can drive to the nearest bus station in Frederick, MD. From Cunningham Falls State Park, drive 12 miles to Frederick. At the Frederick Transit Center, you can take the MTA Maryland bus service (Route 204) toward Thurmont. The bus fare is approximately $2.00 one way. Get off at the Thurmont stop and walk approximately 0.5 miles southeast along Frederick Rd until you reach the park at 19 Frederick Rd.
